Here Are The Top 50 Conservative Twitter Accounts You Should Be Following

I spend a lot of time on Twitter, and to be honest, every time I see a “top 10 conservatives you should be following on Twitter” I’m disappointed.

The lists are usually stuffed with establishment hacks, or they don’t reflect the diversity of conservative voices.  For example, they often include only GOP-brand establishment republicans, libertarians, big-name political commentators etc.

In this list, I’ve tried to include as many different conservative voices that I could, so that there’s something for everyone.

It includes established republican figures like Newt Gingrich and Ben Shapiro, libertarians like Rand Paul, classical liberals like Dave Rubin, people on the new right like Lauren Southern and Paul Joseph Watson, private intellectuals with relatively conservative dispositions like Nassim Taleb, and funny conservative twitter accounts like James Woods (yes, the actor himself).

Beyond political ideology, this list presents a wide-range of conservative twitter accounts to follow: there are pundits, politicians, radio hosts, actors, troublemakers, and a president—conservatism isn’t limited to politicians, it’s a grassroots movement, and I hope my list reflects this.

Let me know if I missed anyone (just so long as they’re right wing) in the comments below.

So, without further adieu, here are the 50 best right wing twitter accounts you should be following in 2017.



1.  President Donald Trump

Love him or hate him, he is the current Republican President of the United States—and his tweets matter. Heck, they seem to get more done than Congress.  For this reason, he’s our top conservative, and republican to follow on Twitter.

And whatever your brand of conservatism is, just note that his won the White House and saved the Supreme Court for potentially 40 years—we can all get behind that.

2.  Ann Coulter

As the author of many influential conservative, nationalistic books such as “Adios America” (it influenced President Trump’s stance on immigration, you should read it even if you disagree with it), Ann Coulter consistently puts out great content and drops logic bombs on leftists on Twitter every day.

She’s a staple for any right wing twitter user, but what makes her special is that she seems to climb near the top of just about every list, be they the “top republicans to follow on twitter”, the “top right wing twitter account” etc.  She’s versatile, that’s for sure.

3. Stefan Molyneux

You may not have heard of this guy, but he’s high on this twitter list for a reason.

This YouTube sensation and host of one of the biggest philosophy podcasts in the world has recently leaped from the ethereal world of the abstract and entered the political fray.

His “The Truth About” lectures tear down the veneers of celebrities, and the false narratives of the mainstream media. He, in part, is responsible for opening the eyes of many millennials to the world of conservativism, and he continues to do so on a daily basis.

Oh, and did I mention his Tweets are hilarious?  If you’re looking for a funny conservative twitter account, follow Stefan.

4. Mark Steyn

The bestselling Canadian-born author of “After America: Get Ready For Armageddon” has been rhetorically bludgeoning leftists for over a decade.

His conservative approach to political issues has served him well from testifying about climate change in front of the US Senate to mauling a former Supreme Court of Canada Justice in a debate about Syrian refugees.

This guy’s a beast—a must follow for all conservative Twitter users (heck, even political moderates need a dose of Steyn).

5. Ezra Levant

Founder of The Rebel, Canada’s (only) conservative media organization, Ezra Levant is a former lawyer and conservative activist that speaks freely about politics globally.  He’s great at finding the most morally abrasive stories that expose leftist corruption.  He focuses on corruption, Canada, Islam, and globalism.

Give him a follow and keep up to date on what’s going on north of the border (you’ll be shocked).

6. Nassim Taleb

Likely that smartest man on this list (or any list), Nassim Nicholas Taleb is author of “Antifragile” and “The Black Swan“; two books that could change anyone’s worldview from a theoreticist to a pragmatist. His disdain for experts and sycophants because of their lack of skin in the game gives him unique perspectives on politics that almost invariably lines up with conservative ideas.

If that sounded dry, don’t worry: Taleb has some of the best Twitter clapbacks I’ve ever seen.

7. Lauren Southern

This Canadian-born commentator (focusing on American content) first got her start by ridiculing third wave feminism on YouTube. For a while she was a reporter/commentator for The Rebel, however she has recently moved on, becoming an independent journalist.  She will continue voicing her critiques of leftists policies from free speech to immigration without any censorship.

If I had to nail her down, I’d say Southern espouses new right conservatism.

8. James Woods

Actor turned Red-Piller-in-Chief James Woods has been extremely active in this recent election commenting on politics ranging from the mainstream media bias to PizzaGate. Like most reading this list, he has had enough with the Hollywood bureaucracy and its incestuous relationship with the Democrats.

If you’re looking for a funny conservative to follow on Twitter, it’s him.

9. Rand Paul

The moral light of libertarian conservatism, US Senator Rand Paul provides interesting commentary on political issues and has been critical of the non-action of Congress for many years on both sides of the isle. His unwavering views on immigration and guns are those to take note of when battling Democratic talking points.

Standing with Rand on Twitter is a must for anyone with a libertarian streak.

10. Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz was the runner-up in the GOP presidential primaries in 2016 and a stalwart tea party conservative. His boisterous comments during the debates and his strict constitutionalist perspective had some even calling for his nomination for either Attorney General or the Supreme Court.

But don’t be fooled by the prestigious bio: Cruz’s tweets are enlightening, yet biting.

11. Laura Ingraham

Laura Ingraham is an American-born radio talk-show and podcast host about everything conservatism. She is outspoken on Twitter about all current political events and usually has a take worth noting.

12. Ben Shapiro

A Harvard-educated lawyer, and former Breitbart Editor, Shapiro often comes off as abrasive to leftists; which is why most people on the right love him. Other than that, his website The Daily Wire has earned a reputation for thoroughly researched news and fact-based commentary.

Shapiro is our highest-ranked typical republican to follow on Twitter.

13. Charlie Kirk

One of the youngest commentators on this list, Charlie Kirk has some of the smartest commentary. By being an (already) former Breitbart contributor at such a young age he likely has a bright future in conservative commentary ahead of him.

14. Sean Spicer

This one’s a no-brainer.  He’s President Trump’s Press Secretary, so if you want news straight from the horse’s mouth, follow Spicer.  Simple.

15. Robert Spencer

Founder of Jihad Watch, Robert Spencer does amazing work exposing Islam’s shortcomings in world integration by pointing out all of the things wrong with the religion. His famous book “The Truth About Muhammad” does wonders in explicating exactly why Islam is so at odds with Western ideology.

He’s a staple for conservatives of all stripes on Twitter.

16. Steven Crowder

Host of the Louder With Crowder podcast on YouTube (and now CRTV), the former Fox News contributor uses comedy to attack and ridicule leftists. His hilarious skits and various debunking videos prove to be powerful argumentative tools against leftists, although he can honestly be a bit full of himself at times.

17. Dave Rubin

Liberal-turned-conservative (or at least a classical liberal) Dave Rubin had enough of the leftist ideology when they came out against free speech. He hosts The Rubin Report on YouTube and interviews many fellow conservatives and classical liberals about various political topics.

18. Nigel Farage

The United Kingdom owes Brexit To Nigel Farage. He is an unabashed nationalist and has a respected perspective on global politics from the Right-Wing. Also, he was the other guy who trashed one of the Supreme Court of Canada’s Justices in the debate on the Global Refugee Crisis along with Mark Steyn.

19. Michelle Malkin

Michelle Malkin is a syndicated conservative blogger who uses Twitter to trigger leftists with short quips of right-wing perspectives. As a former guest host of The O’Reilly Factor she has a brand that gives her opinions weight among conservative circles.

20. Paul Joseph Watson

PJW’s viral YouTube videos about current events played a big part in the 2016 election, especially with millennials who have been joining the “new right” in droves. This InfoWars Editor-at-Large was also an outspoken advocate for Brexit and for Trump’s election. His tweets always hilariously point out hypocrisy on the left, of which there is plenty.

Although he’s not at the top of the list, he’s one of the most active right wing twitter accounts out there.

21. Scott Adams

You’re probably surprised to see the creator of the comic strip “Dilbert” on this list.  Why?  Well, he took political action by being a huge Trump advocate in the 2016 election, and earned himself a spot on this list by speaking truth about the mainstream media and leftist ideology in general.

22. Andrew Klavan

Host of the “Andrew Klavan Show” podcast (hosted on The Daily Wire), his political commentary holds no bars against left or right (if its not his brand of conservatism). His opinions are based on rock-hard reason, and he doesn’t hold punches from Republicans if they are wrong (even with his buddy, Ben Shapiro).

23. Gavin McInnes

Often controversial, always hilarious, Gavin McInnes is the co-founder of Vice News (back when it was good) and a right-wing commentator. He often uses punchy humor to mock leftists, and whether he’s speaking about Canada on The Rebel or about general American politics on Compound Media he always gives an interesting (and witty) take.

24. Mike Cernovich

Whether he’s talking about Twitter’s conservative crackdown on Periscope, or calling Seth Rogen a cuck, Mike Cernovich pulls no punches. The author of “Gorilla Mindset” tweets everyday calling out anyone on  the left and the right who doesn’t see things his way; and it’s always hilarious.

25. Tucker Carlson

Tucker Carlson is the man.

He took on leftist idol Jon Stewart, he’s been on Dancing With The Stars, and on a daily basis he runs argumentative circles around everyone he brings on his show. Don’t just follow him on twitter, watch “Tucker Carlson Tonight”. His entertaining Socratic debate style really exposes the preposterousness of many arguments and talking points espoused by the left.

26. Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr.

Being the only sheriff on the list, David Clarke brings a unique perspective to most current issues. Although he is a registered Democrat (at the time of writing) he is a conservative for the most part, and this shows in plenty of tweets that criticize everything from Black Lives Matter to socialism.

27. Bill Mitchell

Bill Mitchell is a conservative radio host on Your Voice Radio. He was one of President Trump’s most vocal advocates during the 2016 campaign and used YouTube and Twitter to get the word out about the “dishonest media” and their campaign coverage.

28. John Nolte

John Nolte, another former Breitbart editor that is now an Editor-at-Large at The Daily Wire, takes on the mainstream media daily by exposing their lies on misleadings.

He also makes a compelling case for why CNN is Hitler.

29. Newt Gingrich

Former Speaker of the House New Gingrich stays politically active by taking Democrats to task on all their dissonance. He is as entertaining on Twitter as he is on live television (SEE: His tear down of Megyn Kelly on media bias against Trump).

30. Dinesh D’Souza

Creator of “Hillary’s America” and author of many books on conservative positions, Dinesh D’Souza has been absolutely dragged through the dirt by the political left. Why? Because what he says is convincing and effective.

31. James O’Keefe

Another right-wing figure that has been trampled on by the political left and the mainstream media is Project Veritas founder, James O’Keefe. It’s hard to quantify how much permanent damage O’Keefe did to the progressive movement during the 2016 election with his undercover videos exposing corruption within the Democratic party, but it’s likely somewhere up there with Wikileaks and the Podesta Emails.

32. Dana Perino

Former White House Press Secretary for President George W. Bush, Dana Perino stays politically active as a commentator through writing and social media (Twitter and Instagram). She’s a best selling author, a Fox News contributor, and an ardent conservative.

33. Dana Loesch

Although she is a former Democrat, this podcast host and TheBlaze pundit now takes Democrats to task for their absurdities and corruption. Any top conservative Twitter accounts list worth its salt should include her.

34. Jack Posobiec

He’s hilarious. Follow him.

35. Buck Sexton

Being a former intelligence officer for the CIA provides Buck Sexton with a unique perspective to almost everyone on this list (and most pundits in general). He is a former CNN commentator and, now, former TheBlaze show host who takes on all comers with logic and reason (including leftist professors who don’t understand ISIS).

36. Katie Pavlich

Katie Pavlich is a talented writer who authors articles for both Townhall and The Hill as well as her best-selling book “Assault and Flattery: The Truth About The Left And Their War On Women“. She was heavily critical of President Obama’s political correctness, his scandals (SEE: Fast and Furious), and of the feminism movement in general.

37. Mark Levin

The legend, Mark Levin, has been a conservative pundit for as long as almost anyone on this list. His legal insights into political debates make him a force the left is scared of. He hosts a syndicated radio show where he vents about liberals and the media alike.

38. Sean Hannity

In 2016 Trump asked us to “just ask Hannity”.  We did, and we love him.

Sean Hannity has had a resurgence with his support of President Trump during both the republican primaries and the actual campaign. On Fox News, Hannity has interviewed some of the world’s most important figures at critical moments of our history and this gives him insight which he brings to the forefront of his social media presence.

39. Guy Benson

Another editor at Townhall, Guy Benson is part of the growing population of millennial conservatives who also see through the visages the media creates of radical Islam to the UN. He is also wildly entertaining on Twitter and definitely worth following if you seek smart commentary.

40. Dan Bongino

As a former Secret Service Agent, Dan Bongino has seen things that the majority of the country likely never will. His radio show and podcast are listened to by many Republican searching for an uncommon perspective about issues that other pundits might not really comprehend.

41. Allen West

Allen West, a former military man (Army Lieutenant Colonel) and US Representative, remains active politically as a conservative commentator. Also the Left hates him and Snopes and other such “fact-checkers” (READ: leftist shill sites) try to discredit things he says even if they’re true.

42. Greg Gutfeld

While more libertarian than conservative, Greg Gutfeld earned a spot on this list because he hilariously mocks the left for their hypocrisy on a daily basis, whether it’s on Twitter or his show on Fox News. His comedic twist to politics is worth taking note of.

43. Jim DeMint

Leading figure of the Tea-Party movement and founder of the Heritage Foundation, Jim DeMint obviously needs no introduction to conservatives. Much like fellow Tea-Partyer, Ted Cruz, he is very principled in his approach to conservatism, which makes for excellent commentary on government bureaucracy.

44. Jason Chaffetz

Jason Chaffetz is a US Representative and Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform committee. He and his fellow Congressman Trey Gowdy (who would be on this list if he Tweeted more) gained fame with their epic takedowns of government officials within their roles on the Oversight committee; most notably during the Benghazi hearings.

45. Brent Bozell

Brent Bozell’s stature in the conservative movement is almost unmatched. His words carry heavy weight (as they should) and one would be wise to take note of his opinions on current events.

46. Karl Rove

Another conservative that was inside the Bush administration, Karl Rove writes for the Wall Street Journal and is a political commentator on Fox News. While not the biggest fan of President Trump during the election, he saves most of his vitriol for Democrats and the biased media.

47. Larry Elder

His activity on Twitter is always entertaining, whether he’s talking about Black Lives Matter or celebrities’ opinions, his commentary is always fun. Plus the pictures he posts are more often than not on point.

48. Bill O’Reilly

Host of one of the most well known conservative shows, “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News, Bill O’Reilly’s opinion on current topics always makes rounds in the media. The Harvard alum may be one of the oldest on the list, but his Twitter account is still very active with aggregating news and show segments along with some gems like the quote below. This is another one that should be on any top conservative Twitter accounts list.

49. Nick Gillespie

Editor at Reason.com, Nick Gillespie is another libertarian who made the list simply because he can go into the lion’s den (SEE: Debating Mark Ruffalo on Bill Maher) and win debates when everyone in the room is against him. He’s also amazing at bringing humour to his political commentary like few others on this list.

50. Tommy Robinson

Pegida UK leader and founder of the English Defence League, Tommy Robinson has hilarious Twitter wars with people like Lily Allen, but aside from that he is a force when it comes to speaking out against Islam—a rare quality in European politics until very recently. He recently joined The Rebel where he makes informed commentary on European politics and fights against many lies the mainstream media tells about its utopian qualities.

5 Up-And-Coming Conservatives To Follow On Twitter

1. Caiden Cowger

Caiden Cowger (at the time of writing) was the youngest syndicated radio host in the history of radio. He criticized the Obama administration for making kids gay (not joking) and he has been criticized by The Young Turks, so you know he’s both hilarious and probably at least on to something (since The Young Turks are pretty much wrong on everything). His Twitter is a constant rolodex of leftist-blood-boiling quotes and he likely has a bright future ahead of him.

2. Spencer P Morrison

He’s our very own Editor-In-Chief here at the NEE.  True, I had to put him on the list, but I would’ve done it anyways.  If you like our content, he’s the man to follow.  And if you’re wondering why he’s not #1 here, it’s to give the illusion of impartiality (at least we’re honest).

He’s not a strict republican, he’s a nationalist: you can be sure if this was a “top nationalists to follow on Twitter” he’d be near the top with Ann Coulter.

3. CJ Pearson

He’s on this list because just how amazing his accomplishments are while he’s so young. He’s already written for TIME, The Daily Caller, and The Daily Beast and he’s only 14-years old. But since this is a Twitter following list I also included him because I’m pretty sure you can feel leftist heads explode every time he makes a quip.

4. Black Pigeon Speaks

Mostly known for his in-depth and impeccably sourced YouTube videos, Black Pigeon Speaks is a very controversial figure on the right, simply because most of his personal politics seemingly lean left.

However this doesn’t stop him from personally skewering liberals and their failings in the West (Europe especially) on Twitter.

5. Aaron Bandler

Aaron Bandler is on this part of the list because he is one of my personal favorite writers. His pieces on The Daily Wire are always a go-to for informed opinions and excellent research. His Twitter is often retweets or just his articles but every so often he makes a punchy response that is worth following for.
